I know it’s probably very silly, but I always make that heart on the top when I make a pie. I swear the love makes it taste better.

I have tried God knows how many different recipes for pie crust and they all have turned out terrible. Mealy, crumbly… yours looks so flaky and perfect! Would you be willing to share the recipe?

My recipe for pie crust is….
*drumroll*
Take the puff pastry packet out of the freezer, let two sheets defrost, then put them in the pie dish! shh, don’t tell anyone!
I do make shortcrust pastry for lemon meringue pie though, and I make sure I use vegetable shortening instead of margarine or butter — it makes it much flakier.
