I’ve been doing lots of knitting lately. I’m trying to whittle down the list that’s stuck to the bookshelf in my studio. It’s not working very well, because I keep starting new projects all the time. Like the scarf I knit for my niece when she came to visit last week:

And the Spiderweb Capelet (the fourth I’ve knitted so far) that I made as an impromptu gift, modeled here by me at 1am in very bad lighting, in front of a mirror (yes, I flipped the image because I’m anal and couldn’t stand looking at my t-shirt back-to-front):

I’m also most of the way through a Puppy Pi bed for Henry — I’ve taught myself to knit Continental during this, as I move my right hand far too much the other way, and I figured it was as good a project to learn on as any. Depending on the reception that the bed gets, I’ll knit another for Stella. It’s their birthdays’ (birthdays? grammar police, where are you?) on the 15th of July — Henry will be four and Stella will be 5 — hooray!
And speaking of little monsters, here are some big ones. On the left we have the pre-washing-machine version, with the felted number on the right. I still need to add teeth, tongue and eyes, and also some sort of rubbery sole, as they’re still far too floppy for Mr Crumpet’s liking. Very cute though!
