The buzz.

Filed under: Random — Crumpet @ 12:06 am

I can finally post what I’ve been making this week! Yay! Giz and Kym came around for dinner, and we gave them some Christmas presents. Giz got this t-shirt, inspired by his favourite-ist Happies song ever, Why is there so much buzz? (well, more like a hint of a song, back from the old mp3.com days).

The green background was stencilled on, the yellow is an applique, and the rest is embroidery. Mr Crumpet drew the exceedingly cute bee. We think Giz may have liked it. :)

Kym got a mass of magnets, which, it was eventually discovered, spelled out the Tim Bisley inspired “BABYLON 5′S A BIG PILE OF SHIT”. We believe that this gift was also somewhat appreciated. :)

get out!

I got on a roll when making the magnets, and used up some leftover scraps that could no longer be used for badges.

And the award for the obligatory knitted Christmas gift in this post goes to… a hat for my nephew Rohan, who has the largest head I’ve seen on a seven month old ever. I made up this pattern and knitted it bigger than most baby hats, and I still don’t know if it will be big enough. We’ll see. Every Andrew I know is having a baby next year (well, not literally, but you know what I mean), so it’s not like that hat won’t have a home if it doesn’t fit Rohan. I think I’ll knit some more of these, because I really like it, and I might even write up a pattern for the site.
