Today’s List

March 31st, 2006 by Crumpet

Finish the body of my last fingerless mitten.

Finish the thumb gussets on all six mittens.

Perhaps knit a couple of quick scarves. (Knit on tram?)

Weave in ends on all new knitting. (I think I’ll block before I do this, and weave in ends in the car tonight instead…)

Wash all new knitting, then spin it in the washing machine on a veeerrry gentle cycle. Lay all knitting out to block and dry.

Whip up a couple of new digital collages.

Head into uni to print out collages.

Make more badges from collages.

Make magnets from remaining collage material. OMG, the only thing I didn’t get done!!!

Stop by the mecca that is Hot Bargain and buy two mesh bins. Flip them upside down and convince everyone that they’re actually very sexy earring stands.

Make some record bowls.

Gather everything for the stall together and head out to Kym and Giz’s place.

Commonwealth Challenge

March 18th, 2006 by Crumpet

As some of you know, Kym and I will have a market stall at The Basin Music Festival on Saturday the 1st of April (we’ll be in the free area, so even if you don’t go to the music area, you can come along and see us!)

You may also know that the Commonwealth Games are happening in Melbourne at the moment.

So, a Commonwealth Challenge.

a selection of the stash

I pulled this selection out of the coffee table (where I keep my stash) last night. The challenge is to knit up as much of it as I can into scarves, hats, mittens, etc. in time to sell at the stall.

So far I have this. It’s knit from Panda Myth yarn (70% mohair/26% wool/4% nylon) and I call it, “Why is there so much fuzz?”

why is there so much fuzz? scarf
