Farewell NaBloPoMo
November 30th, 2006 by Crumpet
Who would have thought that posting every. single. day. would be such a challenge? I’m pretty much out of words, so am going to go out with some pictures instead. I’ll talk more about NaBloPoMo tomorrow.
Firstly, a sock:

Secondly, some cotton yarn:

Thirdly, some merino wool tops:

Lastly, my completed entry form:

Check out the front page of Etsy today! Bottom right corner of the featured items.
:D
edited to add — it’s not there anymore…

I think you all know my feelings on George Lucas. So without further ado…
I laughed so hard.

The problem with hanging about Etsy too long…
November 29th, 2006 by Crumpet
…is that you find really cool stuff that magically finds it’s way to your letterbox.
Anyway, I’ve been very busy sorting out sorting out my shop. I haven’t sold anything yet, although I did sell some Firefly badges to a person who sent me a message on Etsy — I haven’t moved them to Etsy yet, but I made some more today and will re-photograph them tomorrow before I move them across. So my first Etsy sale was a non-Etsy sale…
I have had lots of people add me as a favourite though, which is heartening, and I’ve been listed on a couple more Treasury Lists — hooray! Speaking of Treasury Lists, the Etsy in Wonderland list will expire in a day, so make sure you go and check it out, click on each item and leave a comment, so that it gets boosted up in the rankings and becomes more visible. You never know — you might even find something there that you want to buy… just like me and my fork bracelet (I have this weird thing for cutlery… I don’t understand it either).

Tally will be so jealous.

Hey Tally, Giz had a dream where Irish Damien Leith was sprawled on his couch, taking apart my “digital SLR”.

Etsy in Wonderland
November 29th, 2006 by Crumpet
I got to make a Treasury List! I got to make a Treasury List!
A Treasury List is like a featured items list, and there are only 101 lists active at any given time. So basically you have to figure out when the lists are going to expire, and sit there ready to go CLICKY CLICKY CLICKY as soon as the form to enter a new list comes up. I’d been unlucky all night, but noticed that some lists were about to expire, and decided to give it one more shot.
I did an Alice in Wonderland search on Etsy today, and there were so many beautiful things that should be seen, and it may be considered bad form to include your own item/s on a Treasury List, but it seemed just stupid not to put a screenprint on there…
Enjoy

Broke into pieces
November 28th, 2006 by Crumpet
I’ve scanned over thirty images today, and am in the process of putting them in my Etsy shop. I just took an enforced break, as the site was broken for a minute (new version of Etsy, slight bugs are still hanging around), and checked Sinfest. The images I’m loading at the moment are these ones, and today’s Sinfest comic (Pooch and Percy! My favourites!) seems extremely appropriate.
