Neisha’s book

Filed under: Random — Crumpet @ 11:21 pm

In my family, we only buy a Christmas gift for one person (plus my mum and dad). This year I got my sister-in-law, and I was excited about this because she likes interesting things. When I asked what she wanted, the reply was “something pretty”. :)

I bought her two pairs of earrings from Contrary — these and these. They arrived in excellent time, and I’m very tempted to keep them…

I’ve also made a small blank journal. Again, first real time trying this binding, and there are a few things I need to improve, but it’s pretty good for a first try. :)

I also plan on making a quick little concertina album like this one. I gave this to a manager from work, and another similar one to my actual manager. It was covered with the same paper as the Sakura album from the previous post, but I didn’t get a good picture of it. This one is covered with a linocut print from earlier in the year, when I was still printing everything on cartridge paper…

We don’t see my family until boxing day, so I’ve still got a bit of time to finish the couple of things that need to be done. I may struggle with the bits for tomorrow though — I’ve made up a screen (actually, I made two but stuffed one up, and have nothing to clean it with yet, so one will have to suffice) to print some little animals onto fabric, which I’ll then sew into simple little stuffed toys. But right now, bed. I worked eleven hours today as part of my 42 hour week of hardcore sale setup, and I is tireds.
