Harold and Maude
After years and years of hearing people on the internet mention this film, I’ve finally seen Harold and Maude. I’d looked for it on DVD over the years, but never found it in shops or rental stores. I also never found out anything about it as such, and I’m glad that I went into it cold — it turned out to be one of the best films I’ve ever seen, and my only regret is that I wished I could have watched it with other people. Unfortunately the DVD copy I found in my uni library is due back today, but I also found it listed on EzyDVD and ordered it straight away. There will be a Harold and Maude film night at my house. Lucky I got that popcorn maker gift yesterday.
Edited to add: I’m going through a bunch of films right now that I should have seen, but haven’t. Next to watch on my list is The Big Lebowski, which has been returned to the library so I can pick it up tonight. I’m also waiting on Slacker — somebody is living up to the title, because they haven’t returned it yet, but it was due back on the 26th of February…

you got a point - I could have done without Cat’s song. Otherwise, a top class film that I’d happily watch again.

I was with this movie all the way up until the end. I bought their relationship all the way up until the skeevy part which was really skeevy. I was very skeeved. And then the movie lost me and that end Cat Stevens song cloyed at my eyelids.
