Hot Fuzzier
So we saw Hot Fuzz at the cinema last night, and I loved it. It had a very different vibe than Shaun of the Dead, but as Giz mentioned in the comments a couple of posts ago, it’s nice seeing the Edgar moments evolve, like the drinks montage and the fence jumping. The film did seem a little long, but about half way through the action really kicked in, and every singe joke set up in the first half of the film paid off. I can’t really figure out how they could have made it shorter. I also love that we got to see a film before the Americans for a change.
I think one of my favourite things was seeing Simon Pegg play a totally straight-laced character, completely removed from Tim Bisley and Shaun. But here’s a little Tim Bisley for ya anyway. I want to sit down and watch Spaced all over again now, and I also want to see Hot Fuzz again at the cinema — probably Nova on Monday.

I love that British humour is just so damn funny. Man I could quote lines from that all do (’This hurts… sooooo… much’, ‘There’ll be plenty of ice-cream where you’re going!’)

just seen HotFuzz myself.. freaking GOLD!
love how a “BritCom” can do better action than those Hollywood ‘blockbusters’.
