Busy doing… not that much, apparently.
I forgot how much time I don’t have for blogging when uni is on. Strangely enough, I haven’t really done any printing yet either. I printed my first lithographs for the year on Monday night, but they didn’t turn out great — my washes were too dark and the previous person’s image came through on the stone when I printed it. So I have to grain heck out of the stone and start all over again. With my other classes I’m still in the conceptual/figuring out stages, but I really have to start getting things done now.
While I’ve been busy not printing, I’ve also been busy not getting much work and spending my non-existant money. Yesterday involved buying around $850 worth of bedlinen… for $134.50. We’re clearing out a bunch of old stock at work at stupidly ridiculous prices — seriously, how could I pass up the beautiful, divine Ralph Lauren sheets and pillowcases? Not possible. So a shout out to the Aussies — if you want bedlinen, head to DJs before the staff buy absolutely everything (our reduced stock includes Ralph Lauren, Yves Delorme, Frette, Olivier Desforges and Calvin Klein).
So, class tomorrow, where I’ll hopefully actually do some stuff, work on Saturday, a first birthday party on Sunday and an appointment with accountant Frank on Monday to do my taxes, which should have been done so long ago that it’s just not funny. I hope I can find that other group certificate…

I can safely say that I will never, ever, ever be an accountant. I used to do my own taxes, but one year we decided to go to an accountant. I can’t remember why, but we just chose the closest place… ever since then, we just make the appointment, nod, smile, make eye contact, and pretend to know what’s going on while amusing ourselves with the fact that our accountant looks like Rod Stewart. Seriously, what he does is like magic to me — I will never do my own taxes ever, ever again.
On another note, I love my pillow. I bought one of those squishy stress-ball type elastic foam ones last year, and it’s just brilliant.
Glad you saw and liked the show Pan!

I was just reviewing this post, and “taxes” and “stock” jumped out at me. I thought, “Did I read this already? When did Crump become an accountant?”
I want those RL sheets. J and I are grumbling a lot lately about our pillow situation. We have 10 pillows or something, and none of them are perfect. My sleep has been for s- lately.
