Every now and then you come across the blog of someone on the internet who’s a little bit special. Usually, though, you find that person when they’ve been blogging for at least a year, and every day the hundreds of comments start with “OMG!!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M FIRST!!!” So when you find that person at the infancy of their blogging life, it’s like you won the bonus round.
I met Alex from Balding Angrily on the Filmspotting Boards, which he moderates. It’s hard to ignore Alex — at first he seemed rather odd, until I realised that he wasn’t actually being serious most of the time. Deadpan is fun.
Before I knew it, I was telling Alex things that most of you don’t even know (and he was polite enough to listen to my blatherings) and we began linking each other like nobodies business. He was even kind enough to send me a birthday present, all the way from Texas. And all the thanks he gets for that is that I giggle at suggestive cartoons and link them to him. So go check out his blog. It makes me smile.

A whole post dedicated to me? If this is a thank you for the present, you don’t have to. Or if you have to, nekkid, incriminating pictures of Mr. Crump will do just fine.

Oh. And I saw Happy Feet this weekend with my huge family. They all hated it, but I loved it. They’re stupid.
