The soundtrack to my life.

15 April, 2007 (17:21) |

I picked this up from the Filmspotting Boards — the idea is to put your iPod or iTunes on shuffle, and the resulting playlist is the soundtrack to your life. Here’s a fresh one for the blog, just because it’s so much fun. :)

Opening credits: Elvis Presley Blues, Gillian Welch

Waking up: Perfect Little Heartbreaker, Epicure

First day at High School: My Adidas, Run-D.M.C.

Falling in love: Red, Belly

Fight song: Lilac Wine, Jeff Buckley

Breaking up: The Emperor’s New Clothes, Sinéad O’Connor (GOLD!)

Prom: Spring 2008, Architecture in Helsinki

Life: Fourth of July, Ani DiFranco

Mental Breakdown: Remain, José González

Driving: Silver, Pixies

Flashback: Headspace, Toshiro (aka Mr Crumpet)

Getting back together: Love Desperado, Tim Oxley (”Where is that bear? Cos I need a hug real bad… I don’t care if it kills me — at least I’d die in a pair of arms.” Doesn’t it just break your heart?)

Wedding: Baby Driver, Simon & Garfunkel

Birth of child: House Husband, Tim Oxley

Final battle: Fuck and Run, Liz Phair

Death scene: Cocaine Blues, Asa Broomhall (strangely enough, the Nick Drake version of this song ended up in my Filmspotting list, around the Breakdown Scene area. Note to self — avoid picking up a drug habit.)

Funeral song: Now They’ll Sleep, Belly

End credits: Turn You Inside-Out, R.E.M.

You choose the placement of the songs yourself? or order them as they come out of the technology?

The order as they come out of the technology. :) (Although a few podcasts came up, and I skipped through those.)
