Strap on your latex dragon costumes and get your drinking games ready — it’s Eurovision time.
Last year was the first Eurovision for myself and Mr Crumpet, and it was so awesome that when we got the Eurovision party email this time, asking whether we were coming, my two word response was “hell yes”.
So, drinking games.
We’re thinking we should drink every time…
A lead singer appears dressed entirely in white.
Somebody rips off their costume to reveal another costume.
Somebody jumps out of a piano or other large object.
An animatronic gimmick is used.
Any other suggestions?
sorry we missed you last nite! you’ll have to keep drinking to blot out the fact that serbia won…
did you drink every time the hosts flirted with each other or changed costumes? or each time you spotted a trannie?

w00t! We had not enough lager to get through the night.
-Singer in white – CHECK (the Spaniards were all in white!)
-Costume ripped off to reveal another – NOT QUITE (Mr Sweden, the worrier, dropped his bolero to reveal his pasty chest)
-Late Arrival from Prop – NOPE. (Apparently last years Rose-covered Piano was an exception)
-Animatronics – A BIG CHECK! Armenia rolled out a tissue-covered tree, which pass the ‘useless prop’ test, but then they trumped us by breathing life into the little branches, which began to reach out, perhaps to strangle the silly sausage who was singing.
We also had the obligatory outfit changes by the hosts, poorly choreographed dancing, and a whole bag of Frenchies who refuse to acknowledge the English Language.
And, delicious baked potatoes, which were really the highlight…

I have also recently discovered the joys of Eurovision, but alas no party for me. How about categories such as:
should have stuck with their natural tongue (Russia)
Gender not immediately obvious (Sweden, Ukraine)
Designer that needs to stop using LSD (France, Ukraine)
Songs that sound similar to other songs (Russia, Serbia, Germany)
Sounds like you had a hoot!
Also, I tag you for a meme that you may or may not want to participate in. Just the ’seven random things’ meme. Its on the blog anyway.
