Busy.

24 May, 2007 (09:30) |

There are only two more weeks of class time left before our mid-semester assessments. I’ve (somewhat) managed to get my arse into gear.

This involved the use of the Big MoFo stone. Here it is after printing and before graining:

Big stone before graining.

With a close-up starring Alex and The Internet from Kym & Giz.

Friends

Say goodbye to those images…

At the graining bench.

And hello to the next lot.

New images on the big stone.

Transfers.

To get it all done quickly, I started work on a second smaller stone at the same time.

Etching smaller stone.

And my cardboard tube collection finally came in handy…

Cardboard Tube Collection

My new favourite thing? Referencing previous printmaking processes in my new printmaking processes…

Yarn with lino photo transfer

And what amuses me even more? The fact that I’m using the very biggest and very smallest stones simultaneously. (And edited to add, that I’m representing a 6′4″ man on the smallest stone!)

Wow, crump. I do hope one of these prints will be for sale. That is so extra cool, I don’t know what to say.

I’ve never been used in someone’s art project before.
