Yesterday’s blog post.

…again, I’m making yesterday’s blog post today. I had every intention of doing it yesterday — I even uploaded photos to Flickr. And then I fell asleep on the couch, exhausted.

Trouble

That there is Trouble. No, really, that’s his name. I spent yesterday at the Fairfield Boathouse, where a bunch of us RMIT printmaker types gathered to say goodbye to one of our technicians, Sean, who is heading back to Tasmania. Sean is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and we’ll all miss him heaps. Oddly enough, Sean and I recently realised that we live about 400 metres from one another. And now he’s leaving. In the words of Rob, our other technician… bastard!

So we sat in the park at Fairfield all day, with lunch, beers, wine, dessert and the most truly horrendous “You won’t believe what happened yesterday while I was stuck on a train…” story I’ve ever heard, as told by Richard’s partner Andrew. I’m tempted to repeat it here, but it is quite horrific… I don’t want to a) scare anyone off taking public transport, or b) be responsible for you all losing your lunches…

And I thought that watching a woman take a fake, discoloured hand with bendable fingers out of her bag on the tram so she could practice her nail filing technique was gross.
