Tricks to make unblocked lace look purty.

I started this today while waiting for the delivery person who never came. I scored my sister Emma in our Kris Kringle draw for Christmas, and I’m going with an Anansi Boys theme. She loved Neverwhere, so I’m sending her a copy of Anansi Boys, either the Spider or Mr Nancy scents handmade by the fine folk atBlack Phoenix Alchemy Labs and this scarf. It’s so pretty. And hard to photograph (especially unblocked).

Cooking up some lace.

Those of you with a keen eye will notice from that I’ve recently bought myself a little gift too. :)

But, to my credit, I am using stash yarn to make the scarf! It’s Madil Kid Seta, and it’s beautiful. I bought it on a whim about a year ago with the intent to make something special for myself, but I wanted to make a cobwebby thing for Emma’s gift, and this fits the bill perfectly.
