Catching up on my Twitter365 roundups — a few weeks ago during the horrors of the bushfires, I my theme was hair. It’s strange how the events unfolding around you seem to reflect in every little thing. I can look at almost every one of these photos now and see fire, smoke and ash.

Going off like a Frog who’s annoyed.
The last auction went very well (thank you to everyone who bid) and I’ve now listed my Frog etching on eBay.
Okay, Ebay have decided to be shitheads. Even though I’ve registered with the Everyday Hero Red Cross Fundraising site and am only raising small amounts of money, I haven’t jumped through enough of their charity fundraising hoops. So I’ll stick with what I’m doing on Etsy for now.
This is an etching on heavyweight BFK paper, from an edition of 14 printed in September 2006. The original artist’s proof was printed in July 2005, and exhibited later that year in the ‘Celebration’ Inaugural Art Juried Prize at Box Hill Community Arts Centre, Victoria, Australia. The image measures 19.5×12.5cm on paper that is 30.5×40cm unframed. Not only that, it was the first etching I ever made.
All proceeds from the auction of this etching will be added to the total on my Everyday Hero page for the Australian Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009. The death toll from the fires is now over 180 with more expected.

Bushfire Fundraising
I’ve listed this lithograph on eBay tonight as a three-day auction — all funds raised will be donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal 2009. On Saturday we recorded our hottest day ever here, and bushfires ripped through the state (with some arson suspected, which I just cannot comprehend). To date, around 135 people have lost their lives, more are being treated for burns and over 750 homes have been lost. Entire towns have been burned to the ground. Please, go and bid lots and lots and lots and lots of money.
Edited to add: I’ll also be donating half the price of all items sold from my Etsy store until further notice. I don’t have a lot of cash to donate myself, so feel this is a good way for me to do something to help. I’ll likely put some other work up for auction as well.
Edited again to add: Just registered with the Red Cross online fundraising thingy to help my fundraising efforts. Check out my online fundraising page here.
